P.5 Social Studies Lesson Notes – Term II

Teacher-prepared Primary 5 Social Studies notes for Term II, written as a series of lessons. Each lesson has a header, a vocabulary list and content notes. They explain the major ethnic groups of Uganda: the Bantu, River-lake Nilotes, Nilo-Hamites, Hamites and Sudanic peoples. For each group they cover where it came from, how it migrated, where it settled and what effects it had. Other topics are legends such as Kintu and Nambi, how occupation shaped settlement, modern migration and immigration, and political organisation in kingdoms like Buganda and Bunyoro. Most lessons end with activity questions that learners can use for practice and revision.
