S1 Kiswahili Holiday Work (Kazi ya Likizo)

This three-page Kiswahili holiday package for Senior One (Kidato cha Kwanza) is meant for learners to complete during the school break. It covers vocabulary for places in the community and the compass directions, which learners practise by naming districts in different parts of Uganda. The grammar sections deal with main and auxiliary verbs and the uses of punctuation marks, and learners write sentences of their own for each. There are also tasks on writing numbers from 0 to 1000 in Kiswahili, maths symbols, the months of the year, time-telling vocabulary and question words. Two short essays of 180 words each ask learners to describe a place they have visited and their daily routine.
