Senior 1 Chemistry Holiday Work: Importance and Applications of Chemistry

This Senior 1 chemistry holiday worksheet asks learners to investigate the importance of chemistry in daily life and Uganda’s economy. Questions cover career opportunities, environmental preservation, farming, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and products used by rural and urban women. Learners also consider patience in studying chemistry and the steps involved in a field trip study. Research tasks require identifying Ugandan industrial products and their contributions to GDP, drawing a column graph, and organising economic information in a table. A concluding integration activity asks for short notes on chemistry’s meaning, everyday applications and contribution to the local community.
