Senior 2 Mathematics: Coordinate Geometry Lesson Two

Prepared by Mr Kawooya Joseph for Senior Two, this lesson explains gradients in coordinate geometry. It uses a plotting activity to show that points on a straight line give the same gradient, then demonstrates how to find missing coordinates. Worked examples cover zero gradients for horizontal lines, undefined gradients for vertical lines, equal gradients for parallel lines and the gradient relationship for perpendicular lines. A closing exercise asks learners to compare pairs of lines, calculate an unknown coordinate for collinear points and use a given gradient to determine a point.
