UACE Biology Paper 2 (P530/2) – 2018 KASSHPA Joint Mock Examination

This is a UACE Biology theory paper (P530/2), set as a 2018 joint mock by the Kayunga Secondary Schools Head Teachers and Principals Association. It runs for 2 hours 30 minutes. Section A has one compulsory 40-mark question that asks candidates to read graphs of blood glucose, insulin, liver glycogen and glucagon levels after taking glucose and during prolonged exercise. In Section B, candidates choose three of five questions. These cover the features of receptors and nerve tissue, how the organ of Corti works, meristems and secondary growth in plants, the effects of sewage, fertiliser runoff, acid rain and ozone depletion, the structure of the mammalian heart and how heartbeat is controlled, and polyploidy.
