UACE Luganda Paper 1 (360/1) – Uganda Teachers' Association, June 2019

This is a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) Luganda Paper 1 (360/1) examination set by the Uganda Teachers' Association in June 2019. The paper has three sections. Section A is compulsory and tests Luganda grammar: verb extensions, noun classes, reported speech, pronoun substitution, and classifying words. Section B covers Kiganda customs such as the role of the Ssenga in marriage, the meanings and use of idioms (ebisoko), and completing and explaining proverbs (engero). In Section C, candidates answer one essay question on set literature books by authors such as Matovu, Kaswa and Busuulwa. The paper is useful for revision.
