UACE S6 Pure Mathematics Paper 1 Examination

This Senior 6 Pure Mathematics Paper 1 follows the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education format. It runs for three hours and is split into two sections. Section A has eight compulsory five-mark questions on arithmetic progressions, circles, differentiation from first principles, permutations, trigonometric equations, integration, the distance from a point to a line and rates of change. In Section B, candidates choose five of eight twelve-mark questions. These cover quadratic roots, binomial expansion, trigonometric identities, curve sketching with asymptotes, complex-number loci, vectors and planes, Maclaurin series, ellipse tangents and normals, and differential equations. The paper is useful for timed exam practice and revision.
