UCE English Language Paper 1 (112/1) – Composition Paper

This is a Uganda Certificate of Education English Language Paper 1 (code 112/1) for Senior Four candidates. Section A is compulsory: learners write a 250–300 word curriculum vitae for a Human Resource Manager job at the Bank of Uganda. In Section B, learners pick one of five topics and write 500–600 words. The topics are a narrative ending with an embarrassing moment, a description of a frightening experience, an argument about whether every student should own a computer, a discussion of the saying "Health is wealth", and an explanation of how a bicycle works. The paper also gives timing advice for planning, writing and checking.
