UCE English Language Paper 2 (112/2): Summary, Comprehension and Grammar

This is a two-hour English Language Paper 2 (code 112/2) set in the Uganda Certificate of Education format. Candidates answer every question in the spaces provided. Question 1 asks for a summary of about 130 words on the qualities children want in a father, with space for a rough copy and a fair copy. Section 2A is a comprehension passage about the Chinese city of Kunming and its attractions. Section 2B is a multiple-choice comprehension passage about the armed forces as unsung heroes. Section 3 has ten sentence-rewriting items and ten multiple-choice items covering conjunctions, reported speech, phrasal verbs, spelling, prepositions, the passive voice, confusable words, sentence order and one-word substitution.
