This is a Uganda Certificate of Education Fine Art Paper 2 (612/2), headed IPS, on drawing and painting from still life and nature. Candidates have 2 hours 30 minutes and choose one of four alternatives. Alternative A is a still-life group made up of a kerosene lantern, a jerrycan lying on its side, a transparent bottle of paraffin, a funnel and a plastic cup. Alternative B arranges a clay pot on a banana-leaf head pad with a jerrycan, a local basket, a gourd and a cup. Alternative C asks for studies of a hibiscus flower. Alternative D asks for a landscape of a building behind a hedge or a path with vegetation. Learners can use it to practise observational drawing and composition.
