0 views 0 downloads 0 shares 3 October 2026

This is a two-hour Uganda Certificate of Education Luganda Paper 1 (335/1), written in Luganda. Section A asks candidates either to write one long composition of up to 400 words or two shorter functional pieces, such as a speech, news report, letter or radio talk. Section B gives a choice between translating an English passage on young people's declining reading habits into Luganda and summarising a Luganda story in 100 words. The compulsory final question asks candidates to complete idioms in sentences, put nouns into a given noun class, correct spellings and write sentences that use a required grammatical form. It suits S4 candidates preparing for UCE.
