Middle Class Mathematical Concepts Exam – Beginning of Term II 2023

This four-page paper from the Outreach Schools Examination Board was set for the beginning of Term II in 2023. It covers Learning Area 4, Mathematical Concepts, for Middle Class learners aged 4 to 5. The tasks ask children to write the numbers 1 to 10 in order, copy numerals neatly, match numbers from 0 to 10, count groups of objects and write the total, and draw beads to show a given number. The last section has learners copy and name simple shapes such as a circle, star, oval, square and triangle. Teachers can use it to check early number skills and shape recognition, or as revision practice.
