Primary 5 English Home-Study Learning Booklet (NCDC, August 2020)

The National Curriculum Development Centre and the Ministry of Education and Sports produced this self-study booklet for Primary Five English. It was made to keep learners studying at home while schools were closed for COVID-19. The lessons are grouped by term and topic, including Travelling and Letter Writing. Each lesson states its learning goals, lists the materials needed and works through numbered steps with examples. It covers vocabulary, adverbs, sentences joined with 'while', interjections, exclamatory and declarative sentences, and personal pronouns. Learners also read a story and a dialogue and answer comprehension questions, and there is guidance on writing an informal letter. Short COVID-19 health messages appear throughout.
