Primary 5 Fine Art Scheme of Work, Term 2

This Primary 5 Fine Art scheme of work plans 12 weeks of Term 2 lessons. It starts with drawing the human face. Learners then study a chosen environment, make a simple view finder, and draw and paint landscapes. Next they gather and prepare local materials such as palm leaves, reeds and straws to weave baskets. The term ends with knitting coloured cords: choosing yarn, casting yarn onto a bobbin, decorating the ends with frills and finishing the article. Each week lists competences, content, teaching methods, learner activities, life skills, materials and syllabus page references. Teachers can use it to plan lessons and track progress through the term.
