Primary 5 Social Studies Scheme of Work for Term 2

This Primary 5 Social Studies scheme organises Term 2 teaching by week and lesson period under the theme of living together in Uganda. Topics include ethnic groups and migration, legends, settlement patterns, kingdoms, cultural practices and barter trade. It also outlines lessons on traders, slavery, explorers, missionaries, colonial rule, resistance, agreements and the development of Uganda’s boundaries. Entries link subject and language competencies with lesson content, teaching methods, learner activities, life skills, values, teaching aids and textbook references. Teachers can use the scheme to sequence lessons and plan discussion, storytelling, map work and oral or written tasks.
