Primary Four SST Lesson Notes Term 2 2023 – Vegetation and People in Our District

These lesson notes for Primary Four Social Studies were prepared for Term 2 of 2023 under Kazo District Education Department. They are split into numbered lessons. Each lesson gives words to read and write, short notes and a short activity. The first part covers vegetation: natural and planted forests, swamps, grass, crops, shrubs and grasslands, and how human activities such as bush burning, overgrazing and deforestation affect them. It then covers ways to care for vegetation, including mulching, agro-forestry and terracing, and the work of NEMA, NFA and game parks. The second part covers people in the district and well-known legends such as Kintu and Nambi, Mundu and Sera, Gipir and Labong, and Ruhanga and his sons.
