P5 English Holiday Work – Yet Happy Kidz School (End of Term 1, 2020)

This Primary 5 English paper from Yet Happy Kidz School is set as holiday work. Its footer shows that it is based on an internal end of Term 1 exam from 2020. Section A has 50 short items. These cover filling in blanks, word forms, alphabetical order, opposites, plurals, abbreviations, one-word substitutes and rewriting sentences as instructed. Section B tests reading and writing. Learners read a passage about a spare parts dealer, a football match advertisement and a poem about journalists, then answer questions on each. They also put jumbled sentences in order to make a story and fill in a cloze passage about a taxi breakdown. Many items relate to transport and the media.
