Middle Class Reading & Writing End of Term II Exam 2023 (Learning Area 5)

This is a four-page end of Term II examination from 2023 for Middle Class learners aged 4 to 5. It covers Learning Area 5, Reading and Writing. Children read the vowels and fill in the letter u to complete short words such as sun, cup and hut. They ring matching letters placed among numbers, match syllables like ba, ma and su to whole words, and name pictures of things that start with the c sound. The paper ends with a copy-and-write task. It suits early literacy assessment and practice of letter sounds and beginning reading skills in nursery classes.
