Prophet Ezekiel Notes – Divinity Paper One
0 views 0 downloads 0 shares 3 October 2026

These notes cover the life and ministry of Ezekiel, the priest and prophet who served among the Jewish exiles in Babylon. They describe his opening vision by the River Chebar and his call to prophesy, then draw out lessons for Christians today. The notes compare Ezekiel's call with the call of Moses and explain his prophecies about the fall of Jerusalem. They also discuss the belief in shared (corporate) guilt and Ezekiel's teaching that each person is responsible for their own sin, and link this to New Testament teaching on judgement. Later sections explain his symbolic acts and his message against the shepherds, meaning the leaders, of Israel.
