Service in Church History – S3 CRE Notes

These Senior 3 CRE notes cover the theme of service. They describe the work early Christians did, such as preaching, baptising, holding fellowship meetings and doing charity, and the problems they ran into. They also cover what missionaries in Africa contributed, including schools, hospitals, churches and new crops. There are short profiles of St Francis of Assisi, Brother Toby Kizza, Bishop Shanahan, Arthur Shearly Cripps and Rev. Ezekiel Apindi. The notes then turn to the Bible: how God used his authority in the Old Testament, the services Moses gave and his qualities, and what Kings Saul, David and Solomon achieved and where they failed. They close with New Testament teaching on service and some discussion questions.
