UACE Luganda Paper 1 (P360/1): Grammar, Culture and Literature

This is an Advanced level Luganda exam paper, P360/1, Paper 1, set in the UACE format. It runs for two and a half hours and has three sections. Section A is compulsory and tests grammar: transforming sentences, joining clauses with conjunctions and relatives, identifying noun classes, rewriting sentences in the passive form, correcting standard Luganda spelling, and changing person and number. In Section B, candidates choose among questions on Kiganda marriage customs, rituals for twins, idioms and proverbs. Section C asks for essays on the contributions and works of the Luganda writers Kaswa, Busuulwa and Matovu. All instructions and questions are in Luganda.
