Writing Middle Class End of Year Assessment 2023 – Kampala Urban Schools

This two-page end-of-year writing assessment for Middle Class nursery learners was set by Kampala Urban Schools Examination in 2023. The first page has rows of the letters 'n' and 'a' for children to copy onto ruled lines as handwriting practice. The second page moves on to simple words such as 'an', 'in' and 'mat', and a short sentence that learners copy several times. The paper checks letter formation, neat handwriting and early word copying. It has spaces for the learner's name, group and date, and ends with a good-luck message. Teachers and parents can use it for practice or assessment at the end of the nursery year.
